Hi Bloggers,
Here it is your next excerpt as promised:

“Don’t be like that Nigella. We come bearing good news.” said Jack.                                      “Spit it out, and then leave!” Delia blurted out, although, secretly, she was very happy to see them.                                                                                                                                          “Your sisters are happy and well and about to perform a full concert under the weeping willow tree in two weeks.” Petunia sang out. All of a sudden two new chickens appeared in the compound. “Who are the newcomers?” asked Petal. Sophie said,                                                   “They came last week. The lady thinks that the fox got Whitney, Mariah and Celine and bought the two replacements the same breed as Shinney.”                                                                     “The two new girls are a bit snooty actually!” whispered Delia. “They think they are better than us because they are ‘Rhode Island Reds’ and are reputed to be good egg layers.”              ”Shush!” whispered Nigella.                                                                                                         “You had better go before they start asking questions!” Nigella continued in a hushed voice,     “It was actually lovely to see you, thanks for letting us know about our sisters, but go, go, go!”
The fairies flew off towards the hedgerow where they had lived for so many years and found Donnella, sat on her own and looking rather plump.                                                             “Donnella!” cried Daphne, “We have come to visit you both! Where is Drake?” Donnella broke down and cried.                                                                                                                                “I don’t know where he is! One moment he was here and the next he was gone. We had had a big row and I feel terrible, I don’t know what to do!”                                                                                “He will come back,” Jack assured her, “He probably just wanted to clear his head!”                                                                                                                           Donnella explained, “We were arguing about him wanting to go back and see his father. He wanted me to go with him, but, I refused! I feel awful, but we have been much happier here, especially now with the baby on the way.”
Petal shrieked, “You are having a baby!” “That is great news.” beamed Daphne.                         “Sit down Donnella,” said Petunia calmly, “It’s not good for the baby, or for you, to be upset.” “What do you know about pregnant goblins?” enquired Jack.                                                        “I don’t know really, but, in my humble opinion, I expect that it’s not good for the baby!” Petunia snapped back at Jack.                                                                                                         “What if he has gone back to the Wah Wah tribe? I am left here on my own with a baby on the way!”                                                                                                                                                 “You are not alone!”  Daphne assured her, “We will help to take care of you and the baby.”   “But I want Drake to be here, I love him so much.” A voice from behind her said, “Why didn’t you say that in the first place?” She turned round and saw Drake, she flung her arms around him and squeezed him so tightly, he put his arm round her, she sobbed and Drake consoled her. She took a deep breath and remembered she was angry too!                                                        “Where have you been?” I have been worried sick. Petunia says it’s not good for the baby or for me to be getting upset!” There was a sound of someone or something clearing their throat. “Ahem, that could be my fault” said a very deep voice. Donnella screamed, “Arrgghhhhhh, a HOBGOBLIN!”                                                                                                                           “It’s OK, it’s OK!” Drake said, “He is a friend.”
By this time all the fairies and taken cover deep under the hedgerow. They had heard tales of the hobgoblins. They were mean, angry creatures that ate everything in sight.                               “Shall we go back to the old oak tree?” asked Petal her voice trembling.                                “Yes! Let’s make a quick exit, we will come back later and see if they are both still alive!” said Daphne.
