Book Three

 Hi Bloggers,

Well Ive emailed the ITV and the BBC about Hedgerow Diaries, but good news orders are picking up for christmas Fairy doors and Mugs, I'm continuing with my daily rhymes here is todays:-

 Non Isolation Random Rhyme #5

Good Morning, weather seems to be behaving

Whilst Brussels’ wants to carve us all up- on their page

They’re calling Covid the Grinch who stole Christmas

And Red skies of California from wildfires that ferociously rage.

On this day of national encouragement

I urge you to do one act of kindness today

Smile at everyone, feed the birds, clean someone’s car

Or tell a story in a comical way.

Or you could write a daily poem

Looks like because of another lockdown threat coming in

I’m back in business for a while

Better order four more cases of gin!

Well! It’s the only way to make the poetry flow

It lubricates the rhyming glands

That’s probably why some poems don’t make sense??

Now I’m adding them to my blog, people can see them in other lands!

But with this being the day Johnny Cash Died In 2003

He’s up there with ‘The Riders In the Sky’

‘Walking the line’ but I ‘Guess Things happen that way’

He fell into a burning ring of fire- he really was ‘the guy!’

But besides these poems I’ll be mugging for Christmas

And painting fairy doors, get your orders in soon!

No!- not ‘mugging’ as attacking and pillaging silly

Printing personalised mugs for gifts- that should stop the gloom!

On the subject : My husband was mugged by six dwarves last night!

-Not Happy!

Stay well, stay safe.                                      Polly P Perkins.Non Isolation Random Rhyme #4

Good Morning, me again.....

Things are getting isolationny all over again

So thought you may be need of cheering up

If you’re feeling anxious, or just home from Spain.

Must remember 19 years ago 9/11 on this day

The twin towers was hit by Al-Qaida.

But were not allowed sad news in these poems

So Ill focus on happy thoughts as I proceeda

Big news today is the Pringle tube debate!

How do you recycle this item they ask?

Metal base, cardboard walls, plastic lid

Now here we are faced with a task!

Kelloggs are working hard on it

Many meetings around big tables with ideas and reflection

My suggestion is a nice glass jar please

They’d make great storage jars, for my jar collection.

On the news it’s all about something called Brexit

Something to do with the EU I think

And obviously still concerned about Covid

Some newspapers say were just on the brink.

Some people say regular flu is worse

Just look after yourselves is the message that should be sent.

What is the difference between swine flu and bird flu?

Swine flu needs oinkment- bird flu needs tweetment.

Stay well, stay safe.                                 Polly P Perkins.

See you soon

 Hi Bloggers,

So aswell as this blog Im going to try a TikTok video and also I'm writing a series of poems to cheer everyone up in this climate of having to only have 6 people in a group - Covid is still around.

This is today's poem:-

Non Isolation Random Rhyme #3

Surprise! Good Morning

Here’s another Random Rhyme

Inspired by half a Masonic gang and Famous five friends

To be a bit more creative with my time.

Also with the latest government rules

Only six people from 2 households gathering in one place

That’s only half a dozen or a 24th of a gross

But it’s a ruling we all have to face.

And having to drive miles for a CV19 test

Today on world suicide prevention day

This news is depressing for anyone

Good job my poems will blow that away!

Yes! It’s my duty and my intention

To encourage much more smiles and happiness

So expect a small series of random rhymes

After recent events, us three (me, myself and I) think that’s for the best.

My main worry is Christmas

If this ruling is going to remain

We’ll have to have like-...... four sittings!

Its crackers (ha)! -It just won’t be the same.

There’ll be a time table

Next to the menu on the door

Santa and the elves will be so confused?

Wait! - We’ve got bonfire night and Halloween before!

But why don’t skeletons ever go trick or treating?

Because they’ve got no ‘Body’ to go with!

Only joking- must finish off for now

A blog to write, then pour myself a gin, like a genuine, proper wordsmith.

Stay well, stay safe.                              Polly P Perkins.

See You tomorrow

 Hi Bloggers,

Got all letters and leaflets all enveloped up just got to get the stamps. Then rely on the postman to deliver and then all the schools will be begging me to buy books and visit schools and all sorts.

Ok dream over, here is the poem I tried to send you yesterday for your enjoyment.

Will keep you posted on any developments.

solation Random Rhyme #1

Good Morning, hope you’re all doing well

As promised, here’s a random rhyme

Kids all back to school, most people back to work

Isolation days are over, we can even now go out for a good time.

So Happy International Bacon Day

Also International Day of Charity in all nations

Speaking of which, thanks again

I raised £700 in total from all your MS donations.

No! I haven’t finished book two yet

But, because I haven’t been able to do a book launch for book one

I’ve been making leaflets and writing to primary schools

About my Times tables book and The Hedgerow Diaries for everyone.

So after this very last bottle of gin

I intend to sit down and finish book two

The book is written and edited

There is only the illustrations to do.

As the world is now socially distancing

Being extra careful with masks and antibacterial

I sit here, with my gloves on, holding my mask writing this for you

Watching James Martin and eating my cereal.

So stay safe and be careful

By now we all know how

I’ll be back soon with another random rhyme

For now, I leave you and to make you smile- A painting I did of a cow.

Stay well, stay safe.                                Polly P Perkins.
