Hi Bloggers
The excerpt as promised:

No!” said Jack. “We will stay here and make sure they are alright. They are our friends and let’s not forget that!” “OK!” They all said, unenthusiastically.
“Everyone, meet my new friend, Herbert Bogmuncher.” announced Drake. Drake explained to Donnella about the hobgoblins plight and that they are a dying race and they need help. Their answer lay in the Wah Wah tribe where the child of Gabriel lived. The hobgoblins needed to find out if it was a boy or a girl. Their very existence depended on it.                                                 “I’m sorry I reacted like I did” apologised Donnella, “It’s been a very upsetting twenty four hours. Please sit with us.” Herbert sat and almost squashed the hedgerow with the fairies hiding in it. “Sorry! I am a bit bigger than you.” Herbert apologised. They sat and talked for hours. Petunia whispered, “We had better go, Elgar will be worried and will come looking for us if we do not leave soon.” “OK!” Jack replied, “Let’s sneak off quietly.”
The fairies made their way back to the old oak tree, only to bump into Elgar, just as Petunia had predicted, he had come looking for them. “We have been worried sick about you all.” said Elgar, “Where have you been?”                                                                                                                  “Let’s get back home. I will explain everything when we get there!” Petunia promised him.
Back at the old oak tree the elves were scurrying about all looking very worried.                        “Thank goodness you are alright!” they said.                                                                                 “Now, sit down and tell us about your adventures.” Elgar requested. They sat together. Foster had gathered some food, nothing like Daphne ever puts together, but it was edible, and the fairies told them all about their very eventful day, but, excluded the part about the hobgoblin arriving with Drake, because, they knew that Elgar would not be at all happy. The discussions went on for a good few hours because the elves kept interrupting and asking questions.
Eventually Petunia said, “I’m really tired, I’m off to get some sleep.”
The fairies went their separate ways to their own mushrooms and hideouts. Just like the previous night Daphne heard a moaning noise, the same as she had heard before. This time she got up to have a look. Petal hadn’t noticed she was far too tired to wake up, as it had been a long day.
“Hello!” Daphne whispered, “Is there anybody there? Hello!” The moaning got louder.             “Where are you?” asked Daphne.                                                                                           “Here!” said a very weak voice. Daphne headed toward the voice, she looked closer.  It was Tony, the tawny owl that had performed the ceremony at Blossom and Jacks wedding.
“Tony!” she declared, “We have been looking everywhere for you! What has happened to you?” He was very shaken and distressed.                                                                                             “Can you get up Tony?” Daphne asked him. “No! I can’t move.  It’s my wing and my leg. A huge monster knocked me out of the hedgerow a couple of nights ago as it walked past.
“That must have been Herbert when he came for Drake!” she exclaimed. “Please! Can you help me Daphne?” Tony pleaded.                                                                                                          “Of course I can,” she said, “I’m just going to get a firefly so I can see what’s going on, I won’t be long Tony, don’t worry.”                                                                                                                “I’m not going anywhere.” He replied weakly. Daphne quickly set about getting long leaves to bind his leg and wing to help them mend. Some berries, to give him energy and some of her potions to rub on the bruised areas.
It only took her a few minutes for her to acquire everything she needed to help Tony.
She made him comfortable for the night and got something to sleep on so she could be by his side to monitor him. She told Petal where she was going so that she wouldn’t worry about her, but, she was so sleepy, Daphne didn’t think she had heard her properly, but she felt better for telling her.
She would explain everything to her in the morning. Tony was comfortable and Daphne settled down for the rest of the night.
As dawn broke, Petal was panicking. She thought the hobgoblins had taken Daphne. She had vague recollections of Daphne telling her something but she couldn’t remember what she had said.
“Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness!” she kept saying to herself. She went over to Blossom’s place, “We have lost Daphne!” she blurted out. “It’s my fault, she told me something and I can’t remember what she told me.”                                                                                                          “Calm down Petal.” Blossom consoled her. Then, under the hedgerow, they saw Daphne. “What’s going on Daphne?” asked Blossom, “Petal is distraught! Where have you been?”
“Do you remember that moaning we heard the other night? It was Tony. He is badly injured, I heard him again last night, and I went looking and found him and took care of his injuries. I then slept by his side, to keep a check on him. He has  broken a leg and a broken wing, but, I think he will be alright in a few weeks.” Daphne said.                                                                                “Poor Tony!” Petal commented.                                                                                                  “Do you think he will manage my wedding next week?” asked Blossom very sheepishly.
“I do not believe you Blossom, it’s all about you isn’t it?” Daphne snapped.
She was so angry she flew off to be with her patient.
Enjoy

Hi Bloggers

Going away for a while, will leave you with this thought:

At the bottom of your garden
Amongst the hedgerows and the weeds
You will find a group of fairies
Doing kindly deeds
Caring for the creatures
Just passing through
If you see them, make a wish
Your dreams will all come true.

Hi Bloggers,
Here it is your next excerpt as promised:

“Don’t be like that Nigella. We come bearing good news.” said Jack.                                      “Spit it out, and then leave!” Delia blurted out, although, secretly, she was very happy to see them.                                                                                                                                          “Your sisters are happy and well and about to perform a full concert under the weeping willow tree in two weeks.” Petunia sang out. All of a sudden two new chickens appeared in the compound. “Who are the newcomers?” asked Petal. Sophie said,                                                   “They came last week. The lady thinks that the fox got Whitney, Mariah and Celine and bought the two replacements the same breed as Shinney.”                                                                     “The two new girls are a bit snooty actually!” whispered Delia. “They think they are better than us because they are ‘Rhode Island Reds’ and are reputed to be good egg layers.”              ”Shush!” whispered Nigella.                                                                                                         “You had better go before they start asking questions!” Nigella continued in a hushed voice,     “It was actually lovely to see you, thanks for letting us know about our sisters, but go, go, go!”
The fairies flew off towards the hedgerow where they had lived for so many years and found Donnella, sat on her own and looking rather plump.                                                             “Donnella!” cried Daphne, “We have come to visit you both! Where is Drake?” Donnella broke down and cried.                                                                                                                                “I don’t know where he is! One moment he was here and the next he was gone. We had had a big row and I feel terrible, I don’t know what to do!”                                                                                “He will come back,” Jack assured her, “He probably just wanted to clear his head!”                                                                                                                           Donnella explained, “We were arguing about him wanting to go back and see his father. He wanted me to go with him, but, I refused! I feel awful, but we have been much happier here, especially now with the baby on the way.”
Petal shrieked, “You are having a baby!” “That is great news.” beamed Daphne.                         “Sit down Donnella,” said Petunia calmly, “It’s not good for the baby, or for you, to be upset.” “What do you know about pregnant goblins?” enquired Jack.                                                        “I don’t know really, but, in my humble opinion, I expect that it’s not good for the baby!” Petunia snapped back at Jack.                                                                                                         “What if he has gone back to the Wah Wah tribe? I am left here on my own with a baby on the way!”                                                                                                                                                 “You are not alone!”  Daphne assured her, “We will help to take care of you and the baby.”   “But I want Drake to be here, I love him so much.” A voice from behind her said, “Why didn’t you say that in the first place?” She turned round and saw Drake, she flung her arms around him and squeezed him so tightly, he put his arm round her, she sobbed and Drake consoled her. She took a deep breath and remembered she was angry too!                                                        “Where have you been?” I have been worried sick. Petunia says it’s not good for the baby or for me to be getting upset!” There was a sound of someone or something clearing their throat. “Ahem, that could be my fault” said a very deep voice. Donnella screamed, “Arrgghhhhhh, a HOBGOBLIN!”                                                                                                                           “It’s OK, it’s OK!” Drake said, “He is a friend.”
By this time all the fairies and taken cover deep under the hedgerow. They had heard tales of the hobgoblins. They were mean, angry creatures that ate everything in sight.                               “Shall we go back to the old oak tree?” asked Petal her voice trembling.                                “Yes! Let’s make a quick exit, we will come back later and see if they are both still alive!” said Daphne.

Another excerpt for you all  :

“I can hear them singing” shrieked Blossom.
They found the tree and sure enough they were sat there, with an audience of two voles and of course the squirrel family.                                                                                                                                       “That was beautiful.” Jack said.                                                                                                              “It’s the fairies!” Whitney cried out.                                                                                                         “We are so glad to see you, we were only just talking about you this morning, how are you all?” asked Whitney.                                                                                                                                               “We are fine” Blossom replied. “Jack and I have set a date for the wedding and your concert is going to be the week after.”                                                                                                                                  “When is that? “Asked Celine,                                                                                                                “My goodness, its next week” realised Petal,                                                                                           “So your concert is in two weeks.  We have already told several chatty characters’ in the bird world to spread the word, so if you voles; tell the badgers and moles, word will soon spread.” “Have you told the lark?” asked Mariah. “I told the jackdaw and he is the biggest blabbermouth around so I’m sure the lark will know by now.” Daphne informed them all.
“I must say you all look happy and healthy enough” Petal commented.
“Never been happier” piped up Celine, “Although we do worry about Nigella, Sophie, Delia and Shinney!”                                                                                                                                                         “Maybe we can fly by and just have a look at them just to see how they are?” offered Jack. Celine carried on and said. “That would be absolutely wonderful, just to know they are alright and pass on to them that we are doing fine would be so comforting to us and them I’m sure.”                                                          “That’s not a problem” Jack responded.                                                                                                                         “We could go on the way back and take a sneaky peek at the goblins too, as we go by.” Daphne suggested.                                                                                                                                                                     “It’s a long way, so we can’t stay here very long.” Blossom interjected.
Summer nights were much longer now but the fairies knew it was a fair distance to go. Petunia was particularly concerned, because, she knew if she was out too long; Elgar would come looking for her and the others.
That was just what he was like, over protective.
“OK! One more song please girls and we will be on our way.” Jack suggested. “Here we go.” said Whitney. The girls sang their hearts out. They had never been happier and it showed in their singing.
“That was beautiful!” Daphne and Petal chimed together.                                                                           “Time to go.” said Jack, very bossily.                                                                                                 “Farewell, everyone, see you in two weeks.” The fairies all said together. Bye!” replied the chickens. It seemed like miles as they flew. “Are you sure we are going the right way” Petal demanded!                                                              “Of course!” replied Jack, “We lived in the hedgerow for long enough, we should know where it is.”
They could see the hedgerow up ahead, they were very anxious about what they might find, and how the chickens would react when they saw them. Petal saw Delia first she shouted to her -“Delia, Delia, we have come for a visit.” Nigella intervened “You are not welcome here.”

Here is another small excerpt to entice you to make an order, also please spread the word I still need lots more to be ordered or it will never be published.

“I can assure you she is not! I know her mother and she had her own husband until quite recently.” Drake shrieked.                                                                                                             “But, we do need your help please Drake, could you show us where your tribe dwell and we can see for ourselves.” Herbert pleaded.                                                                                                “It will have to be tomorrow now” said mother,” its dark and late and I have chores to finish, so you find this nice young man a bed for the night and we will tackle the situation in the morning. Mother’s word was final. Gabriel took Drake up some stairs to a very cosy room full of cushions and feather beds, it was glorious. Drake was left alone and his thoughts turned to Donnella. His last words to her were very harsh, she must be worried sick, I bet she thinks I have gone back to the Wah Wah tribe. My goodness, my darling! -Back at the hedgerow, Donnella was thinking exactly that.
After her tearful moment she had gone back to find Drake, to tell him that she would be by his side whatever he decided. She could not find him. He wasn’t there! She scurried around their home and discovered he hadn’t taken any provisions or even his walking shoes. She started to get a little worried and as night fell she felt the baby kicking, she took herself off to bed and decided she would go out looking for him at first light.
Meanwhile, by the old oak tree everyone was sleeping. They had organised everything for the wedding. They still hadn’t found Tony the owl so they were going to look for a replacement, first thing. Suddenly, Daphne awoke. She nudged Petal and said, “I heard a noise Petal, did you hear it?” They both lay very still for a moment and they both heard a groaning noise as if someone was in pain.                                                                                                                                   “We must find out who is making the noise and go and tend to them immediately.” Daphne said worriedly.   “But you can’t see a thing!” Petal replied,    Leave it, we will look in the morning, it will still be there!”                                                                                                                          “Ok!” Daphne responded, but she knew she wouldn’t get back to sleep; she just lay there listening out for the sound, listening, listening. Eventually she drifted off to sleep. The sun rose and Daphne went out to look for the creature that had made the noises. There was nothing around anywhere, she was quite bemused. She told the others when they all awoke and nobody had any clues as to what was making the noises.
She thought to herself, I’m glad I didn’t get up and spend time looking around for whatever it was. But, she was in a reasonably caring mood and she said to Petal. “Shall we ask Petunia to take us over to the chickens today; we can tell them about the concert date and see how they are doing.”
“Good idea” replied Petal, “Let’s go over to Petunia and Elgar and ask them.”
Petunia and Elgar were busy looking for flooring for their new home, they had moved in together and were very happy. Daphne had put the idea of visiting the chickens to them. Petunia agreed, she had promised the chickens she would return with the full complement of fairies very soon, so this was going to be the day. They gathered what they needed and set off towards the cherry blossom tree where the chickens were last seen.
Daphne said, “I must confess, I am quite excited about seeing them again.”
“Me too” said Petal. They continued and eventually got to the weeping willow and from there Petunia could remember the way to the cherry blossom tree.

Enjoy.

G.ood Morning Bloggers,

Have you ordered your copy of Hedgerow Diaries off the website yet ? address: sbpra.com/pollypperkins.

Here is another small extract while you are thinking about it. You coud be the proud owner of one of the first copies of the book.

The first one spoke, “Good evening sir, sorry to bring you up here like this, but when we found out there were goblins living so close, we needed to speak to you as soon as possible!”
“I am Herbert.  This is Gabriel, Bill and Bob my sons, we are the Bogmuncher family. My wife Bertha is in the kitchen.”
Drake was speechless! He looked around at them, they were all so hairy and all wore brownish tunics and trousers. Their trousers only reached their knees and were all ripped. They all wore big heavy boots.
Herbert only had one eye open, the other was closed up. They seemed friendly enough, for now!
Drake spoke, “My name is Drake, I am part of the Wah Wah tribe from under the ground, but my girlfriend and I have made a home for us above ground in the hedgerow where you took me from.”                                                                                                                                                 “Are you hungry Drake?” asked Bill.
“No thanks, we have eaten this evening”. Bob said, “We were just about to have supper, come and sit with us.”
“OK!” Drake said sheepishly. They sat around a huge cauldron of stew.
“What we on tonight mother?” asked Herbert.
“Badger and weasel tonight my dear!” she replied proudly. As they sat there eating Drake noticed their ears, they were very large, the mothers were a little smaller but the father and the boys were so big he couldn’t take his eyes off them.“What you looking at goblin?” Herbert growled,                                                                        “Do you want some, just speak up if you want some, it’s really tasty!”                                                      “No thanks” replied Drake and soon averted his gaze from their ears.
“In case you were wondering, we don’t eat Goblins anymore, there’s only us here now. When we were a large tribe and food was scarce we had no choice, but not anymore!”                                                     After the meal Herbert poured his heart out to Drake. They didn’t mean him any harm, they just wanted to find Gabriel’s wife, who was a goblin, and he had heard that she had a child and that it was Gabriel’s. They needed to keep the bloodline of Hobgoblins going because after Herbert and his sons, there were no more. Hobgoblins can only give birth twice in their lives. Mother only had Gabriel. The twins, Bill and Bob’s parents were killed in a feud many years before. Then there were no more, even though Gabriel’s child was half goblin it was better than nothing, especially if the child could possibly be female. She could mate with a hobgoblin, and then maybe, there was hope for the future of hobgoblins in the world.
Herbert continued he had heard there was a family of hobgoblins on Bacon fell and one far away on Hellhaven, but beside that, there were no more.                                                                                         “Now I understand” Drake said.                                                                                                               “But I am not a hobgoblin and neither is my girlfriend Donnella, I don’t know of any within our tribe, to be honest.”Gabriel continued,                                                                                                                        “My wife definitely lived in your tribe, and I am certain she went back there after we fell out. Well we didn’t really fall out, I didn’t fit into those little houses of yours and she wanted to be near her friends and family so there was no solution.”                                                                                                                           “You seemed to give up really easily on that issue Gabriel, if you don’t mind me saying so.” Drake said.“She wouldn’t eat meat,” said Mother, “That was the real reason.”
“Let’s not get back into that argument again.” Herbert retorted.  “Can we just come and look at your girlfriend and check she isn’t a hobgoblin?” Bill piped up quite cheekily.

A very good afternoon bloggers,

Great news the website is finished in next couple of days I can give you the address and you can buy oodles of copies of the book for all your friends and family.

By way of a celebration here is another small excerpt, thank you for following me all this time.:

Back at the hedgerow, Donnella was looking after a couple of moles that were visiting. These moles were actually the children of the family that helped with the digging of the tunnel.
Donnella said, “You have really grown up; I remember seeing you when we first came out of the tunnel!”                                                                                                                                                                   The first mole said, “Daddy said we shouldn’t visit this hedgerow anymore, because you are goblins and you might eat us.”                                                                                                                                       “Your daddy is quite wrong; we only eat the same things as you do. It’s hobgoblins that eat moles and voles and other creatures.                                                                                                                                “So, it is quite safe here then?”                                                                                                                   “Yes, please tell your daddy and any other creatures that you meet.” said Donnella.                                           She went over to where Drake was working.                                                                                         “Darling!” she said, “I think I know why we do not seem to have many visitors anymore here at the hedgerow, it’s because everyone thinks we are going to eat them. I just put that little mole straight and told him to tell the others!” “OK! Whatever you want.” Drake said most un- interested.
Donnella walked away, wondering why he was so distant. She didn’t say anything until later on when they were having supper.                                                                                                                          “Drake, are you really happy here?” Donnella asked.                                                                                          “Well, I have been thinking of visiting my father to tell him our news, to be honest with you.”               “That’s the worst thing you could do!” Donnella retorted.                                                                             “Why?” Drake asked.                                                                                                                                   “Because, Drake, if you go back there, you will never return to our new life here. I know for certain! Your father will come here and visit us one day and we can introduce him to all of his grandchildren when it happens.”                                                                                                                                            Drake was a little angry, he said, “So, you are telling me I can’t go!”                                                                   Donnella replied “Not at all. You go if you want. But I am staying here, so you choose!” She promptly walked away, very upset. She walked over to the other side of the hedge row where they never normally ventured and sat and cried.
Drake sat quite dumb struck and didn’t quite know what to do. If he left he was not only leaving the new home he had made for them, but the girl he loved and his unborn child. He will have to apologise to her he thought. He started walking over to where she usually sat, but, she was nowhere to be seen, he ventured further and could see her sat crying. He went towards her and suddenly he was pulled backwards and fell completely over. Someone or something had picked him up and was carrying him away. He tried to shout but his mouth had been covered over by a huge hand.
Drake was completely petrified. They walked for what seemed like hours. He felt like he was climbing uphill and high. Up, they continued, eventually they were climbing along some very long stairs and then entered through a huge doorway.
The beast put him down and he was surrounded by four very large hobgoblins

Good Afternoon Bloggers,

Great news, publisher finally costed my book pre website at $15.97  hope you will all go ahead and order one as soon as website is finished, meanwhile here is another excerpt for you all

They managed very well and became self sufficient and didn’t need to go to the town for anything at all.
His brothers often visited him, without the knowledge of their father.
One day, unexpectedly, FF called at his house and sat in a chair looking very dejected.
“Father what is wrong?” Brucie asked.
“My son I have done you wrong and now I have lost you forever. I am so proud of you that you stood on your own two feet and made a positive move to protect the woman you love.”
Brucie replied, “Father I will always look up to you and never meant to do wrong by you but, I have to follow my heart!”
FF stood up and boldly said, “I am going to get my family back together and I am humbly asking you for your help!”
“What are you proposing to do father?” asked Brucie.
“I am going to find Drake and Donnella. Her mother has not stopped crying since she left and I want to tell her that I am going to rescue her daughter.”
FF looked Brucie in the eye and asked him, “Will you be by my side son?”
“Do I have a choice?” replied Brucie.
“Of course you do son, but I am getting old and want to make good with my family. I could ask one of your other brothers, but I need to leave someone in charge of the town whilst I go on this journey.”
“Ok I will come with you,” said Brucie, “So long as Athena can join us as well.”
“Is that wise, it could be treacherous!” said FF. Athena stood up and said,
“If a couple of chickens can make it, I am quite sure I can!”
“That’s agreed then” said FF. “We leave in the morning, gather what you think you will need. I have no idea how long it will take or how far it is, or even if they are still alive. But we must try!”
“See you in the morning!” said Brucie, as his father left.
FF went straight to his other sons to explain where he was going and to leave them in charge of the town and the tribe.
He also went to Radella; he was a wise man and asked his advice about going above ground and what he could expect.
Radella was not only a sage but he could see into the future.  Radella said “Sit down my friend, I will read your path.”
Radella sat opposite FF at a small table in his dwelling; he had four fire flies in his abode. This was more than most of the town folk, but he was very old and his sight was dim. Radella started talking; “I can see both happiness and danger befall you. First of all, I see a long journey ahead of you, a little danger but nothing you cannot handle. Further on I see great happiness and tears of joy for you. But then, be aware, a very dark cloud descends upon you and.......” Radella falls off his chair and FF cannot wake him.
“Radella! Radella! What do you see?” shouted FF. He could not wake the old sage. He seemed to have gone into some kind of trance.
FF picked him up and carried him to his bed. FF was very worried about the journey. But who could he tell; if he told his sons they would tell him not to go. If he told Brucie, he probably wouldn’t go with him.
The next morning, Athena and Brucie were ready when he got there. Brucie said,” I have been thinking about this journey during the night and I think if we follow the path the chickens took out of town to the ground above, we should be on the right path to finding Drake and Donella.”
“Brilliant!” said FF.  The journey began....

Hello Bloggers,

Sorry not been posting lately. Here is next excerpt for you:

. The elves looked bemused. “How did you do that?” asked Elgar.
“Just a little bit of fairy magic, my darling!” she said, as they all set off, flying together until they reached the old oak tree.
Everybody back at the old oak tree was very busy.Daphne was gathering up all sorts of flora and fauna to make a buffet. Petal had started collecting lovely things for a dress and Lilly was organizing a guest list. Blossom was clearing a small area by the old oak tree to hold the wedding ceremony. Jack and the elves were out looking for Tony the owl. He was the one that had performed the ceremony the first time, but, he was nowhere to be seen. Elgar, Petunia and the others arrived back and all the fairies rushed over to hear about the chickens. Petunia told them they had eventually found them living in a cherry blossom tree with a family of squirrels. She told them that at first they did not want to have anything to do with a concert, but after a little careful thought they decided they really wanted to go ahead.
Elgar said, “Yes, Petunia was a little bit crafty really, she left them thinking, that we thought, that they thought, they weren’t interested. So we went away letting them think that, and, just as Petunia had predicted, when she went back they had decided that they really wanted to do it!”“How clever you are Petunia!” said Lilly.                                                                              “So, have you set a date for the wedding? We need to know because we need to set a date for the concert.” said Petunia. Blossom replied “We wanted it in two weeks time, here, at the old oak tree.”                                                                                                                                        “That’s fine “said Petunia. “ I will organise the concert for the week after your wedding.” Everything was set in place, they just needed to tell the chickens and set everything up for the wedding, there was plenty of time, but a lot to do. At least they have more time than the last wedding, then they only had 24 hours to organise everything,

Chapter Two
An Unwelcome Visitor.
Deep down, underground, amongst the Wah Wah tribe, there was deep unrest. Brucie had turned against his father because he had fallen in love with a girl that his father did not approve of. Half of the tribe looked up to Brucie and the other half were loyal to his father. FF was not having an easy time. Brucie’s girlfriend was half hobgoblin and half goblin. A couple had got together many years before, when there was a truce between hobgoblins and goblins and produced a daughter who chose to live with her mother, she was the goblin. It wasn’t obvious that she was half hobgoblin except for her ears, but she kept them covered with her hair.It only came to light when she had her hair done for the May Day parade in the town and one of the girls shrieked,“My goodness! Athena, where did you get those ears from? Did the hobgoblins come down in the night and give you those?”
She was absolutely distraught and ran off. She never took part in the May Day parade again but she had confided in her boyfriend, Brucie. The rumours spread around the tribe and eventually got to FF. He confronted his son,                                                                                                    “Is this true about your girlfriend?  Is she half hobgoblin?” he asked.                             “Unfortunately, father it is, but I love her and will not split up with her just because of a stupid feud that happened centuries ago with the hobgoblins!”                                                                FF replied, “If that is your attitude, then, you are no longer my son!” FF couldn’t believe he had just lost another son. He thought about Drake all the time and deeply regretted that he didn’t show how proud he was, when he handled the chicken situation so diplomatically. Brucie didn’t leave the town as such. He built a new home just outside the town for himself and Athena.

Good Morning Bloggers,

apologies for the messed up text I sent you last time, will go back and check in future, here is another excerpt for you all,

“I can hear it too” said Petunia.                                                                                                “Chickens, where are you?”  Arif shouted.                                                                                 “Celine, Mariah, Whitney! Where are you?” Petunia called out.                                                 “Up here!” Came the reply. They all heard it and looked above their heads and sure enough on a bough of a flowering cherry tree, stood the chickens, looking down at them. The elves and Petunia flew up to greet them.                                                                                                       “Hi! You are all OK then?” asked Petunia.                                                                                    “We are all just fine!” replied Whitney.                                                                                      “We have been living in this tree with a little squirrel family. They are great” giggled Mariah.“Yes, they have just had babies. We have been helping to look after them whilst they went off and foraged for food for the little ones. We sing to the babies all the time and a small crowd usually gathers at the base of the tree.” Said Whitney.                                                    “We love it here.” Celine said to Petunia.                                                                                   “We are not going back to the garden, so don’t even ask!” retorted Whitney. “Don’t worry, we haven’t come to take you back!” said Arif, “We have just come to see when and where the concert is being held, and to see if you are alright, which you obviously are!”                          “Oh we don’t need to do a concert now; the animals and birds just come to our tree and listen to our music whenever they want to.” Celine replied.                                                                 “Well, I still think you should hold a concert by the Weeping willow tree. You promised all those creatures that came to watch the competition a concert.                                                          “I think it would be quite rude not to do it, especially, when it comes to the competition next year, if you haven’t done at least one concert the judges will probably disqualify you for not keeping your promise.” said Petunia, angrily.
“Calm down.” said Elgar. “If the chickens don’t want to be bothered going all the way over to the weeping willow tree and sing again for the entire audience of creatures who cheered for them at the competition, they don’t have to, it’s  their decision, it’s entirely up to them!”                “Well that’s settled then!” said Whitney, “No concert!”                                                                “OK! See Ya!” said Petunia, then off she flew. The elves dutifully followed her. She had stopped by the willow tree.                                                                                                                             “Why are you stopping?” asked Arif.                                                                                           “We just have to give the chickens a couple of minutes to have a chat and I think you will find they will change their minds.” said Petunia. She sat at the base of the tree, Elgar sat next to her and held her hand, and he asked her in a soft voice, “How do you know they will change their minds?”                                                                                                                                       “Because, they are girls, silly!” giggled Petunia.
Back at the cherry tree, Celine said, “It was a great feeling when all those creatures were cheering for us and asking for more wasn’t it?”                                                                              “I loved it” said Whitney.                                                                                                          “Yes! Me too” Mariah said, “But, it’s too late now. Petunia and the fairies would probably have organised a concert for us and she has gone now. We don’t know when she will visit again, it could be next year!”                                                                                                                     “My goodness! We didn’t even ask Petunia how everyone was. We just talked about ourselves, I feel awful now.” Celine said sorrowfully.
Back at the willow tree; Petunia said, “You guys stay here, I will fly back and have quick word with the chickens.”
“Hello! Again” Petunia said to the chickens.                                                                              “OH! Petunia, Petunia, thank goodness you came back, “They all said in unison.”                “Why is that?” asked Petunia, knowingly.                                                                                          “We forgot to ask you how everyone is. How are Daphne, Jack, Petal, Blossom, and Lilly? Are they all well?” Celine asked her.                                                                                                  “We want you to organise a concert for us” blurted out Whitney.                                                  “Just a minute!” Celine interrupted, “We haven’t found out how our other friends are yet! Whitney, you are selfish!”Petunia replied;                                                                                  “Jack and Blossom are still together, and are, right at this moment organising a proper wedding together. Daphne is still looking after all gods’ creatures. Petal is as busy as usual and Lilly is still organising us all. We live with the elves now at the old oak tree. We left Drake and Donnella in our old hedgerow and we have not seen them since. (She paused) And yes -we would love to organise a concert for you.” The chickens were, once again, very excited.                            “When and how will you organise the concert? Who shall we invite?” They all chirped together .“Well, now we know where you are living, we can keep in touch and we will organise a date. Tell all the chatterboxes about the concert and the word will soon spread; we shall go back to the old oak tree and find out the wedding arrangements. We will let you know, a.s.a.p. and maybe, I   can entice all the fairies to come back with me. We will then tell you all the details. You girls just keep practising!” Petunia said with a big smile on her face.                                                     “We would love to see everybody again!” said Celine. “Thank you, thank you Petunia. See you soon!” She flew back to the weeping willow tree.“Ok boys, we are on!” she said with a big grin on her face. The elves looked bemused. “How did you do that?” asked Elgar.
